Meet the Coaches

Brad Church
Brad was selected 17th overall in the first round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Since that time he has played in over 550 professional hockey games in the NHL, AHL and ECHL. Currently, he is the Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Phoenix Roadrunners of the ECHL. During his career, Brad served as Team Captain for seven of the teams he played for. His many awards and achievements include the Portland Pirates Unsung Hero Award in 2000, AON/AHL Man of the Year in 2001, and the Florida Everblades MVP, chosen by fans in 2004. Brad has been instructing players of all ages since 1995 in various hockey schools and clinics. In 2006 he began the Parkland Professional Hockey School (PPHS) in his hometown of Dauphin, Manitoba. In three years PPHS has helped over 250 students between the ages of 5 and 15 improve their hockey skills through on- and off-ice sports specific programs.

Todd Clausen
Todd has been working with professional athletes since 1994. He earned a strength and conditioning position with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1996. After one year with Tampa, Todd was hired as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the entire Tampa Bay Devil Rays minor league system. This included the instruction of over 150 players per year. In 1999 Todd was approached by the Los Angeles Dodgers and offered the position of Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach. He was in charge of implementing a strength and conditioning program for both their major and minor leagues. For the next seven seasons, Todd was responsible for year-long conditioning programs for every player affiliated with the Dodgers. He was also deeply involved in all rehabilitation programs in coordination with the team medical staff. Todd is the founder and owner of Pro Training, LLC. His clientele includes Eric Gagne (2003 Cy Young Award winner and three-time All-Star, ESPY Award winner, Milwaukee Brewers), Russell Martin (two-time All-Star, Gold Glove Winner, Los Angeles Dodgers), and Edwin Jackson (starting pitcher for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays).
